French Language Workshop - Ateliers de conversation

With the support of the Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages (FILS), University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest launches the French Language Workshop – “Ateliers de conversation” in the 2nd semester for beginner and intermediate levels.

The workshop will be delivered by a native french teacher who applies pragmatic methods with an emphasis on interaction and communication skills. It will last 3 months and will be available to all UPB students. During these 3 months, students will improve their knowledge of the French language through educational games and playful workshops.

The conversational workshop is a recent method where students can learn or improve a foreign language using a new approach including recreational games, debates, role plays and other engaging activities. They will also exchange experiences and be introduced to French culture, gain further confidence as French speakers and make interaction with native speakers quite possible.

Workshop Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Expressing viewpoints with reasons and explanations
2. Giving advantages and disadvantages on various issues
3. Presenting solutions to problems
4. Expressing personal preference or experience
5. Using the language for social, academic or professional situations
