Candidates who graduated high-school or a Bachelor/Master study programme in a European country, other than Romania, must have their study documents recognized and validated by the Romanian National Centre for the Recognition and Validation of Diplomas (CNRED) https://www.cnred.edu.ro/en/higher-education, part of the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research. According to the national Law 316/ 12.07.2006, citizens from member states of the European Union, European Economic Area and Swiss Confederation, have the right to apply to studies in Romania, in the same financial circumstances as Romanian citizens.
The procedure for the validation and equivalence of diplomas must be done by the candidate, by submitting the necessary files directly to the Ministry of Education and Research. After receiving the Certificate for the Recognition of studies, the candidates will be able to register at the faculty.
Registration period: July 5, 2020 – August 31, 2020
The admission process of EU candidates has the following steps:
- The complete application file is registered at the faculty (we do not accept incomplete applications). The file must include the Certificate for Recognition of Studies from CNRED.
- The application file is processed by the faculty (max.10 working days);
- The faculty informs the student about the outcome of the admission process.
The admission file must contain:
- application form;
- personal identification documents, in copy: passport / identity document - ID card; birth certificate; proof of name change (if applicable): in copy (Romanian / English / French / Spanish / Italian) and certified translation (for the other languages);
- for enrollment in the undergraduate/Bachelor studies, Baccalaureate diploma / High school certificate: copy, if the study certificate is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian; copy and legalized translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages;
- for enrollment in the Master or doctoral studies, the transcript of records attesting the academic situation for the years of study completed, containing the subjects, grades, number of credits / ECTS and number of course hours for each subject, issued by the higher education institution where the applicant previously studied: copy, if the study certificate is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian; copy and legalized translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages;
- for enrollment in the Master or doctoral studies, the study certificate for equivalence / recognition (bachelor's degree and / or master's degree, as the case may be): copy, if the study certificate is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian; copy and legalized translation (in original) in Romanian for documents issued in other foreign languages;
- proof of payment for the admission fee.
For enrollment, the student must submit the original study documents. The enrollment at the faculty can be done until the 31st of August, 2020.
Bachelor
Documents required for the recognition/validation of diploma (s) by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research – CNRED – for enrolment to undergraduate (Bachelor) studies

The file for admission will be sent to the university as follows:
- by email, to the address of the Faculty - all required documents are scanned properly (we do not accept photos) and included in only one pdf file, named with the candidate’s name
- OR - by regular post, to the address: University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Department of International Relations, 313 Splaiul Independentei Street, RO-060042, Bucharest, Romania.
When coming for enrollment, the candidates will present their study documents at the faculty that they have decided to apply for, in original, along with the necessary translations (if the case).
Master / Doctorate
Documents required for the recognition/validation of diploma (s) by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research – CNRED – for enrolment to Master and Doctoral studies

The candidates submit the file for the recognition of their previous studies from abroad either at the Romanian National Centre for the Recognition and Validation of Diplomas (CNRED).
The documents for admission will be sent to the university either:
- by email, to the address of the Faculty - all required documents are scanned properly (we do not accept photos) and included in only one pdf file, named with the candidate’s name
- OR - by regular post, to the address: University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, Department of International Relations, 313 Splaiul Independentei Street, RO-060042, Bucharest, Romania.
When coming for enrollment, the candidates will present their study documents at the faculty that they have decided to apply for, in original, along with the necessary translations (if the case).
According to the Accommodation Regulation in the dormitories, foreign students who wish to continue their studies at UPB, can be provided accommodation within the Campus, paying the same amount as the Romanian students.
